Easing Ehler's Danlos Syndrome Symptoms

by Julie
(GB)

Question by Julie:
Can the symptoms of Hyper Mobility Syndrome/ Ehlers Danlos Syndrome really be eased?

Answer by Deborah Drake:
Yes absolutely. I know a number of people who have eased their symptoms. That does not mean a cure but it does mean that you can get to the point that you can live a pretty normal life.
There are things we have to accept that can be emotionally difficult such as certain activities that we should not do. We should avoid things that could lead to injuries since we don't heal up. A minor injury (such as from skiing or horseback riding) could torture us the rest of our lives.
Injuries from car accidents are some of my worst problems to this day.
But depending on your symptoms, there are many things that can be done.

Thank you for your question!
